In oil and gas drilling, we call then solids control centrifuge or drilling fluids centrifuges. Drilling mud is pumped into centrifuge by screw pump or submersible slurry pump. The material of decanter centrifuge is stainless steel. The minimum grade is S.S304, and then S.S316, S.S316L, Duplex 2205. The screw impeller can be welded or coated with tungsten carbide for better anti-corrosive performance. This will help us to get longer service life and save time to maintain or repair

Besides cuttings separation in drilling mud, the centrifuge is also used to recycle some barite. And decanter centrifuge is widely used in waste management, oil sludge treatment more and more.
